Off to Kindergarten!

Samantha got up 1:30 am this morning to brush her teeth. She really wanted to be ready for her first day at the kindergarten early. Luckily she went back to sleep right afterwards. I just tossed and turned the rest of the night. Because I already missed her terribly. While I wish I could hold her hand tight to walk her through every new step of her life, I know it's time to let her learn how to fly. I just have to be there to praise her when she soars, and to comfort her when she falls. Quality time sounds more real to me than ever. Timothy says that he really misses Samantha, too.
Today Thanh calls me from his office more frequent than usual. That's nice. My heartache will be 100% cured in about one hour.
The time on the picture is wrong. It's not 6ish, it's 7 something.

Is her school a full day or half day? She is such a big girl. I remember visiting you guys in Provo with Ethan. They grow up so fast.

Hey Leslie, I don't know if you'll remember me, but I was in ChemE at BYU with Tanh. I just found your blog from Mark and Bev Chang's blog. I wanted to say congrats on being Aggies! The semester is probably just getting started...
You family is so cute! Sending a kid to kindergarten for the first time sounds so hard! Good luck!

Wow, what a big step!!! Pretty soon and she will be getting married. I'm not making fun or being sarcastic at all. I am serious. They grow up so fast! It's hard when the littleness leaves them and they transform into big people. Good luck, mommy!

Leslie, YOUR blog is beautiful with with pictures of beautiful people in it! I am glad to hear that I am not only one going through kindergartener withdrawl. Also I did not know Thanh was going back to school! That should make things pretty busy, espically with a dog! You are brave, I do not think I could do a dog right now, but he looks really cute. Hope to see you soon!

wow its always hard to leave them for the first year of school...but then there's always the relief of one less child to take care at home.

Congratulations! Thanks to your post, I think I can understand the "heartache" that at least my wife will endure when our boy grows up and goes away to school. :) I'm sure she's learning great things.

I chuckle to think of you following her around on her first day of school with your camera!

Wow...Do you remember me? This is Daniel Hsieh (Sarah and Jack's younger brother). We used to go to Asian Ward together. I am in Houston too. We moved here about 2 years ago and now I live in Kingwood. We should meet up.
